I knew I’d need to go back and read her second thriller, The Guest List – which I’d actually bought earlier and just hadn’t gotten to yet. ![]() ![]() At the end of last year, I enjoyed reading Lucy Foley’s debut thriller, The Hunting Party. ![]() ![]() ![]() The scene ending with the both of them crying yet holding hands was the most wholesome thing I have ever had the pleasure of reading. By the time they actually talk both are ready to confess in their own way but Nao really shines here explaining that he was oblivious to Ko’s growing feelings for him but when he say her making her own friends without him and getting a job he realises that he loved her and wanted to be with her. Hirotaka plays his role of older brother perfectly explaining how he has always loved Narumi but how he only recently came to realise it was love in a romantic sense rather than a sibling sense and this give Nao the knowledge and courage to sort through his own feelings for Ko. First off, we get the awkward interactions between Nao and Ko now both of them are aware of their feelings for the other and Ko plays it off and she has a part time job but Nao gets rather upset and ends up going to his brother for advice which doesn’t seem like the best idea at first.
